Hi, and welcome back to Soulfully Aligned. My name is Maxine Bingham and I am your host and I would like to start the year off with a New Year's message. And the title of my message is Own the Room. Walk In Your Becoming. So yes, we made it out of 2025. Here we are. We are standing at the threshold of a brand new year. Take a breath with me. I want you to inhale in strength and exhale anything that tried to break you last year that is over Now, do not listen to me very carefully. Do not revisit it, not even for a brief moment. Those heartaches, those lost friendships, the broken dreams you kept trying to resuscitate, they were real, but they were never the end of your story. They were only preparing you for what is about to unfold. Now, I want you to let that sit. Really sit with that. This year, it is about you. It is about your peace, your joy, your happiness, because listen to me carefully, my sister, you deserve it. Last year nearly took you out, you laughed. Sure. But you also cried. You showed up for everyone else, and in the middle of all of that, given you seem to have lost yourself, I want you to feel that truth. But here is the shift, 2026. It feels different, doesn't it? I know. It feels different to me. You are breathing much easier. You are even walking lighter, and you are finally choosing you and know we are not making empty resolutions. This time no more. Maybe someday. No more. Putting yourself last on your own list. This year you will set boundaries. You will say no without any form of explanation, and you will remember who you are and why you were created in the first place. I want you to say this out loud with me. I will not betray myself to keep the peace. 2026 will leave you breathless in the best possible way. Because this time you will finally see how much you matter to yourself. You will take up space, you will speak with clarity, and you will give yourself the kind of love you used to beg for. Let that settle in your body. This year, you are not just surviving, you are becoming, you are not shrinking anymore. You have learned how to stay in your lane. You have honored your rest. You even took the vacation you have been dreaming of. And if you didn't. Then this year, I promise you, you will go ahead and make that bucket list and live it to the fullest to your own satisfaction. No one is going to love you the way you do. So this year be selfish with your time. Protect your peace like your life depends on it. Because you know what, it actually does block the numbers that don't honor your boundaries. Let them talk. Let them wonder, let them even walk away. You, yes, you, you are evolving. You are not the same woman anymore this year. You are owning your space for too long. You gave the room to everyone else. You let them lead the conversation. You played a small, so they would feel comfortable. No more girl step into that room like you own it because you do let the heads turn, let them whisper. Let them wonder who is this radiant, fearless woman? She is you and she is no longer hiding. You are fearless in your becoming, and even if you fall, it is okay. Just get back up, brush yourself off and keep moving. You are on a mission now and no one not fear, not doubt, not the past can stop a woman who finally knows her worth. So say it with me. I am not waiting to be chosen. I choose myself. So sisters, welcome to 2026. You made it. And this time you are walking into the year owning your power, speaking your truth, and taking up every inch of space you were born to occupy. Let the world make room because here you come and baby oh baby, you are no longer asking for permission. So welcome to 2026. Let's go.
